A team of Delhi Police from Police Station Gandhi Nagar in Shahdara district on Monday apprehended two juveniles allegedly involved in a sensational attempt-to-murder case reported from the Dharampura area.
According to police officials, the incident came to light on May 21, after a PCR call regarding a stabbing was received at PS Gandhi Nagar. Preliminary investigation revealed that around 12:30 P.M., two boys, identified as ‘S’ and ‘R’, arrived at the complainant’s factory in Dharampura. During their interaction, a heated argument reportedly broke out over a monetary dispute.
Police said the argument soon turned violent, and the accused allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon before fleeing the spot. The injured man was immediately rushed to Jag Pravesh Hospital by his wife, who also informed the police about the incident.
Based on the victim’s statement, a case was registered at PS Gandhi Nagar under FIR No. 194/26 dated May 21, under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following the registration of the case, an investigation was launched to trace the accused.
A special team was constituted under the supervision of senior officers to crack the case. The team included SI Vikas Kumar, SI Vishal Rana, HC Rahul Chaudhary, HC Aman Bansal, HC Rohit, and HC Manoj. The operation was conducted under the close supervision of SHO Raj Kumar and monitored by ACP Gandhi Nagar and DCP Shahdara.
During the investigation, the police developed technical and local Intelligence inputs, which indicated the presence of the accused near Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar. Acting on the information, the police team immediately rushed to Haridwar and successfully apprehended both suspects.
During sustained interrogation, police found that both accused were juveniles or Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs). Officials said the juveniles admitted to their involvement in the crime during questioning.
Further investigation in the matter is currently underway.
